Seriously! Can't a giraffe catch a break? It is like these
college students never have a off switch, and my new friend Martha is no
different. For just turning twenty two on Monday, she has the energy of a
cheetah. It is like she never takes a moment to sit down and smell the flowers.
First, we sat in her morning language arts class. It was so much fun! We got to
work in groups, evaluate her teacher, and we even got to listen to a story.
After class, we went back to her house where we worked on her grammar mini
lesson. Being little, I was starting to get bored, and wonder when all the
excitement was going to happen. Finally, four
o'clock rolled around and it was time to go to her assessment
class. Sadly, it was not much fun because, I had to sit quietly and listen in
on five IEP meetings. We then headed to the MUC to pick up a salad for dinner. Boy did it look tasty! After picking up our dinner, we came
home and I got to see her mother over Skype. Technology is so cool! She then
told me it was time for us to go to the Wellness
Center . When we got there we went
to a Kisado class. In that class, we had to do agility, cardio, bag work, and
abdominals. Tonights emphasis was cardio. Martha complained because that was
not her favorite. And, after having to do ten minutes of cardio it was not my
favorite activity either. We then decided to stay and do a little Zumba. That
class was so much fun! We did alot of spinning and shaking. Well it is time for
dinner and then back to hitting the books. All my love, Marty and Martha
