Monday October 31st

Hey there everyone, today is Halloween! Happy Halloween. I began this chilly halloween morning back in class with Lathasha Braden.We went to class all day. School is very time consuming but Lathasha kept me entertained.
After class I was able to attend Lathasha's sorority house's monday night meeting. They talked about their upcoming formal dance. I love dancing. After meeting Lathasha and I went to a birthday party. I got to eat lots of ice cream.

After eating all that ice cream, Lathasha and I got pretty tired so we spent the rest of the night watching scary movies.

Hello all! My adventure began on Saturday when I spent the day with Ashley Fenner. We had a very busy day filled with work, fun, and a little sleep. We started our morning with a nice hot shower before heading to Maurices for Ashley to work.

We had so much fun when we got to work! There were so many fun customers who came in to shop and we even got some time to try on new items that came into the store. I even met some very interesting headless friends...although they were a bit scary. As the afternoon approached we had to leave Maurices and continue our work at Tan World.

So many people love to tan on the weekends before they go out so we had a busy day of cleaning beds and doing laundry. I did however get to go tanning and it was VERY relaxing. A zebra has got to keep his stripes dark.


After the work day we continued home. Here we spent the night watching Grey's Anatomy and One Tree Hill, so dramatic. Overall I had a very fun day.

Tuesday, October 26-Lots of Fun!

Kelsi picked me up from the Student Services office on Monday afternoon. She took me home to meet her roommate, Brittany! We had lots of fun eating pizza and watching Bones. After that it was time for Kelsi to do some homework, so we went to her room and read lots of children's books for her Children's Lit class! We read books like "Honey Paw and Lightfoot" and "Pigsty".

After lots of studying and homework we went to bed. The next day we went to Elk Point Jefferson Middle School for Kelsi's internship. I got to meet lots of kids and learned tons of new things! I learned about erosion and heredity and about making good decisions. After that we went home and worked on some more homework and ate a delicious supper that Kelsi's roommate made. After that we got to go to a SESDAC Halloween party for the Council for Exceptional Children. We painted pumpkins and listened to scary music and had lots of fun. Then we went back home where I got to hang out with her roommate so she could take me to my next friend Alysse!

Sunday, October 23rd - A Long Day!

On Sunday, Amanda came to get me from Ashley at Maurices.  I was sad to go, but I was excited for the new adventures with Amanda!

Right after we left Maurices, we went to the Care Center to meet with Amanda's adopted grandparent!  It was the first time they met and we made homemade ice cream!  It was a lot of fun making the ice cream and hanging out with everyone.

Once we left the care center, we went to North Complex to spend some time with Amanda's sister, Stephanie.  We got to listen to music and work on homework.  After a while, Steph got hungry, so we went back to Amanda's house to make some supper.  I got to eat with them, and it was really good!

Once our stomachs were full, we settled back down for some homework.  Amanda and I worked on a poster she had to make for a class.  It took a long time!  We had to take a little break to watch the new show Once Upon a Time.  I think it is going to be a good one!  I hope I get to see next week's episode!

At nine, we had to go to work at the library.  It was kind of boring, but there were lots of people to talk to!  It was a late night - we didn't get to go home until two in the morning!  When we got back, Amanda still had to work on her poster.  So, we finished it up and went to bed at 3.  Man oh man, did I sleep good that night!

The Adventure's of Marty!

This assignment is an electronic traveling journal, also known as a traveling buddy. I have created this journal as part of our discussion regarding the use of technology for writing and publishing.

As a teacher, you should desire to further their students' knowledge of technology, reading, writing, thinking, and even geography, through the adventures of a classroom buddy. The buddy will spend time with each student and adventures will be recorded.

Your assignment: Spend 1 day with "Marty" the zebra. Take him to class, allow him to meet your friends, take him to special events, or read him a book. At the end of your day, you will need to record Marty's adventures...from the voice of Marty!
